The One Minute To-Do List, from The One Hour Residency, is a remotely completed open call consisting of autonomous tasks and prompts to be completed by fellow artists. These activities explore ideas of trust, community, artist resources and everyday life. By a fellow artist completing a task from our to-do list, they are further activating our practice-based, DIY and collaborative ideology that makes-up The One Hour Residency program.

"The Distance Between Us: An Exercise in Trust" is a visual performance exploring themes of control, restraint, vulnerability, and human connection. The project centres on trust exercises performed by two subjects dressed in exaggerated long-sleeved garments, evoking a sense of symbolic restriction.

The elongated sleeves act as both a physical barrier and a point of connection, emphasising the tension between distance and closeness, freedom and constraint. Through these exercises, the project reflects on the fragility of human relationships in a world that often feels detached and disconnected.

The film focuses on the vulnerability of trusting another person — allowing oneself to rely on someone else while navigating the delicate balance between control and surrender.
